One Pedal at a Time

I wrote and illustrated this book for my little boy Parker, just for him. I was inspired to flex some less frequently used creative muscles and draw something purely for fun.

I chose to write about what I know. Riding bikes.

Parker’s curious journey of learning to ride a bike through grit, determination and a sprinkling of bravery, one pedal at a time.

One Pedal at a Time is a heartwarming story full of curiosity, a little self doubt and a sprinkling of bravery. Parker takes us along for the ride as he navigates through the emotions of overcoming the challenges of learning a new skill, showing that with grit and determination you really can achieve anything. Fun fact: In a strange coincidence the day we got the offer from the publisher was the day Parker actually learnt to ride his pedal bike.
